In recent times, most Ghanaian entertainers are one way or the other, diching their careers for Politics, which is quite alarming and curious.
One of such timeless talent is hiplife artiste, and former MUSIGA president, Bice Osei Kufuor, popularly known as Obour, which some Ghanaians are worried about.
Award-winning Ghanaian musician Kwame Nsiah-Apau, popularly known as Okyeame Kwame has also registered worry saying, it is shameful that his colleague and friend Bice Osei Kufuor is quitting music for politics.
“Rap Doctor”, in an interview with TV3 on 30 December, after his Hiplife Concert at the popular Plus 233 bar, an event the former Musicians Union Of Ghana (MUSIGA) President attended and performed, “Rap Doctor” stated that Obuor has excellent music talent and this talent, he said must not be wasted.
“You know Obour will never perform if I’m not the one dragging him, you saw his energy? It’s a shame he wants to quit making music, I think Obour should still make Music, it’s a shame he wants to quit music.
“Obour! God has given you talent and you’re ditching it for politics. well! Maybe he has talent for politics too but we still love your music” he set out.
Obuor ventured into active politics after the end of tenure as MUSIGA President.
He contested for the parliamentary seat of Asante Akyem South Constituency on June 20, 2020, bidding to represent the New Patriotic Party (NPP) but lost that bid.
It’s without a shred of doubt that, the “konkontiba” crooner , is not a full time politician.
