“Akufo Addo And Bawumia Leading A Looting Brigade In Ghana”- NDC Communicator Alleges
A communication team member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Edward Mortey has accused President Akufo-Addo and Vice Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of leading a looting brigade in Ghana since the New Patriotic Party (NPP) took power in 2017.
The accusation comes at a time where questions have been raised about government making moves to purchase shares from Aker/AMG blocks through the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).
While some describe the attempt as a smart move to steal from the country’s resources, others also insist it is a continuation of a loot agenda by top government officials.
Speaking on the issue of corruption, Edward Mortey has said the canker is synonymous with President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia.
“When it comes to corruption, Nana Addo, Bawumia and the NPP cannot be excluded. They have become field marshals in that field and the president in particular is a clearing agent,” he said during a discussion on Power FM last Thursday.
Listing the Australia visa scandal, the Ameri deal, the PDS deal, as examples, Edward Mortey argued that there is no way the Akufo-Addo government can run away from corruption.
According to the communication team member of the NDC, President Akufo-Addo has failed the people of Ghana after going against his promise to protect the public purse.
Insisting that it will be crazy for anyone to tag ex-President John Mahama as corrupt, Edward Mortey alleged that the Flagstaff House has become the home of corruption in the country under President Akufo-Addo.
“Corruption in this country start at the flagstaff house and end at the flagstaff house. It is shocking you will have all these people accusing John Mahama of corruption.
“When it comes to bribery and corruption, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his men have become the mess and they are leading a looting brigade in Ghana,” NDCs Edward Mortey shared.
